The principle of the Escomatic machine with its main turning tools rotating around the material means the need to machine from pre cut lengths of bar is removed.
Although this is still an option on the machines, the ability to run with coiled material gives the machine the added benefit over more conventional machines to work continuously 24 hours a day with minimal intervention.
This saves on manpower during the night and at weekend and also adds to improve the efficiency of the machines in general.
Although the machines were originally all CAM automated machines over recent years the development team at Esco have rolled out a completely new range of machines all with CNC controls, making them much easier to set up and control the production process.
All of the machines in the current range have been developed in response to the very specific strategic decision to position Escomatic in a niche market between “conventional” single spindle machines and more complex multi-spindle or rotary transfer machines.
The developments made over in the last 7 years provides the market with three categories of machines:-
Escomatic D2 CNC and D5 CNC – Very fast machines for simple parts with diameters 0.3 to 4.0mm.
Escomatic D5 ULTRA and D5 TWIN – Very fast and multiple rear working machines for parts 0.3 to 4mm (simultaneous machining of 2 or more parts).
Escomatic NM6 Flexi, NM6 TWIN and NM8 Flexi – Very fast and multiple rear working machines for parts up to 6 or 8mm (simultaneous machining of 2 or more parts).
