Tony Gunn takes us on a tour of an evolutionary high school, the first in the country with a Gene Haas innovation center. When it comes to education in engineering and manufacturing, Pine Bush High School has been successful in running curriculum-driven advanced manufacturing courses for hundreds of students. Principal, Aaron Hopmayer, talks us through the success story, acknowledging great teachers, brilliant students, and their teamwork to help Pine Bush High School become what it is today. The school features a design lab, robotics lab, machine shop, woodworking shop, and AutoCAD room among other innovative facilities. In 2021, the school received a $250,000 naming rights grant from Gene Haas, allowing them to double their footprint to serve up to 300 students and further strengthen their partnerships with companies such as Allendale Machinery, Polaris, Lloyd’s Motor Workz, Pratt & Whitney, and HAAS Automation! Find out more from Aaron about the amazing opportunity at Pine Bush High School.
