Detailed Specification
Another great roller burnishing challenge solved with a Cogsdill single roll tool, this time burnishing the Inner and outer diameter of an internal cylinder face groove.
In this application, the customer needed to achieve a 0.4μm surface finish or better from a 0.8μm pre finish in 826M40 High tensile steel on a DMG MORI NLX2500/1250.
The actual results achieved averaged an impressive 1.6 μm in one quick pass!
