Construction of New Headquarters for Sandvik Coromant in France Underway

Sandvik Coromant, a leader in the machining industry, has partnered with EXIA for the construction of a state-of-the-art facility in Saran, near Orléans, France. This modern site will replace the company’s historic location in Orléans La Source and will feature a Sandvik Coromant Center dedicated to innovation and collaboration with customers and partners.

The new building, certified with BREEAM Very Good, will encompass 1,932 m² over two levels. The ground floor will be designed for customer interactions, hosting events, training sessions, and machining demonstrations, while the upper floor will accommodate office spaces.

Equipped with advanced technologies, including a Mazak Variaxis C-600 5-axis machining center and a DMG MORI NLX2500 lathe, the Sandvik Coromant Center will facilitate a range of activities, from technical training to collaborative projects with clients. The Center is part of a global network of 15 Sandvik Coromant Centers, enhancing customer access to cutting-edge training and resources.

Marcel Bellorini, Sales Cluster Manager France at Sandvik Coromant, emphasized the importance of the new site, stating it will serve as a hub for innovation in machining and help close the skills gap in the industry.

The facility is expected to be completed by Q3 2024, with an official opening planned for late 2024. For more information on Sandvik Coromant and its Centers, please visit their website.
