Pinnacle makes a turn with new lathe series

The Pinnacle Flat Bed CNC Turning Centre is designed and built with one thought in mind, that customers have come to expect – robust and productive machining. The L Series delivers high productivity, accuracy and exceptional surface finishes. The CNC turning centre features up to 6,000rpm variable spindle speed and high stock removal rates. The machines offer a combination of turret and gang type tool slides that provide the most versatile turning applications. It is the perfect lathe for increasing productivity, lowering part costs and reducing machining times.

From a feature perspective, the L Series has a heavy-duty rigid design and construction that consists of a rigid Meehanite cast iron base that provides consistent, deformation-free precision machining. From a specification perspective, the machines offer extra-wide solid slideways that assure maximum rigidity. The range also offers flexible combinations that are ideal for the production of parts in the medical, automotive, optical and general subcontract markets. The machines also provide an extra efficient chip collection system and water drainage that is achieved with the 45-degree slant bed design.

The rigid spindle is supported by superior precision high-speed angular ball bearings to provide an extra-wide range of machining capacity with increase rigidity as well as extend spindle bearing life. The L-Series also has a 10-position servo turret that delivers rigidity and outstanding stability while turning. The turret can be mounted with tools up to 25 by 25mm or alternately boring tools up to 40mm. The L Series is available with seven model variants and this includes the L150A, L210A, L210B, L210C, L210D, L210A/BMY and the L210C/DMY. The diverse range offers a swing over the bed from 330mm to 750mm with a maximum turning length from 150mm to 570mm. The machines are available with a spindle speed from 3500 to 6000rpm with a tool turret capacity from 8 to 12 tools.
