ZEISS Industrial Quality Solutions has announced its transition to a direct sales model in Canada for its portfolio of advanced metrology technologies, including Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), Vision Measuring Machines (VMMs), CT/X-Ray technology, industrial light microscopes, and surface, form, and geometry (SF&G) products. Effective January 1, 2025, this shift follows the dissolution of its distributor agreement with Elliott Matsuura Canada Inc., which had previously handled the distribution of these products in the region.
Diederik Van Tricht, national sales manager for ZEISS Industrial Quality Solutions Canada, explained that the move to direct sales will enable the company to better partner with Canadian customers, addressing their most challenging needs and helping them achieve their goals. “By transitioning to direct sales, we are more closely aligned with our customers, enabling us to provide tailored solutions and support,” he said.
Earlier this year, ZEISS expanded its presence in Canada by establishing a sales and service company specifically for its Industrial Quality Solutions portfolio. This expansion underscores ZEISS’s commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction in the Canadian market. ZEISS Canada’s Toronto facility will feature live demonstrations of its cutting-edge technologies, allowing customers to experience the full range of ZEISS solutions in a hands-on environment.
Bryan Rossi, president of ZEISS Canada, emphasized the company’s dedication to innovation and customer care, saying, “For over 175 years, ZEISS has empowered people to change the world with transformative technologies. The expansion of our Industrial Quality Solutions division in Canada reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the Canadian market and ensuring our customers have access to the best in metrology and quality solutions.”
The direct sales model will also include training, service, and maintenance offerings, further enhancing ZEISS’s ability to provide comprehensive support to its Canadian customers. Starting in January 2025, the Toronto showroom will be open to visitors for live demonstrations and more in-depth insights into ZEISS’s innovative product offerings.
