Yuma Energy Acquires Grinntech to Revolutionize Battery Technology and Accelerate Clean Energy Transition in India!

Yuma Energy, one of India’s fastest-growing Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) companies, has announced the acquisition of Grinntech Motors & Services Pvt Ltd, a Chennai-based company known for its expertise in designing innovative and cost-effective energy storage solutions. This strategic move is set to significantly enhance Yuma Energy’s capabilities in developing high-quality battery technologies, further strengthening its position in the burgeoning clean energy sector and accelerating India’s shift towards sustainable energy solutions.

The acquisition of Grinntech brings a wealth of knowledge in battery design, manufacturing, and R&D, which will complement Yuma Energy’s existing efforts to develop cutting-edge battery management systems, intelligent charging units, and a multi-city battery swapping network. The integration of Grinntech’s expertise will enable Yuma Energy to enhance the performance, reliability, and safety of its batteries, particularly in the electric mobility sector, supporting India’s growing demand for cleaner transportation solutions.

This acquisition builds on Yuma Energy’s successful partnership with Grinntech. In January 2025, Yuma Energy showcased its next-generation battery, co-developed with Grinntech, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. The partnership, now solidified through this acquisition, paves the way for further advancements in battery safety and affordability, essential factors in driving widespread adoption of electric mobility and sustainable energy solutions in India.
