Xact Metal Installs 150th Metal 3D Printer and Achieves Record Quarterly Success!

Xact Metal, a leader in affordable and high-performing metal additive manufacturing, has announced a milestone achievement with installing its 150th metal 3D printing system at Zero Tolerance, a plastic injection mould machine shop in Michigan. The achievement coincides with the company recording its second-highest quarterly revenue in Q4 2024, marking a period of robust growth driven by industry-focused solutions and customer partnerships.

Xact Metal attributes its recent success to its commitment to delivering application-specific solutions, particularly in the tooling and injection moulding industries. The company’s XM200G metal 3D printer, a high-performance and cost-effective system, has been instrumental in addressing the challenges of these sectors.

The collaboration with Uddeholm, a global leader in tool steel manufacturing, has further strengthened Xact Metal’s presence. Their joint solution, which pairs the XM200G printer with Uddeholm’s corrosion-resistant Corrax metal powder, has been well received by injection moulding professionals for its ability to tackle demanding applications.

The 150th installation at Zero Tolerance underscores Xact Metal’s rapid growth trajectory. Steve Michon, owner of Zero Tolerance, has integrated the XM200G into his facility to enhance production mould capabilities. Known for investing in state-of-the-art machinery, Michon and his team aim to leverage the printer’s precision and reliability to stay ahead in the competitive injection moulding industry.

Reflecting on the company’s progress, Juan Mario Gomez, CEO of Xact Metal, stated,
“Our application and industry focus continues to resonate with customers, resulting in strong demand for our XM200G printer. Partnering with industry leaders like Uddeholm allows us to address specific challenges and deliver cutting-edge solutions. We’re excited to see how Zero Tolerance will utilize their XM200G to push the boundaries of performance and efficiency in injection moulding.”

With its combination of industry collaborations and innovative technology, Xact Metal is poised for continued growth, reinforcing its role as a trusted partner in the additive manufacturing landscape.
