Volvo CE India Unveils the EC210: A ‘Built for Bharat’ Hydraulic Excavator

Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) India today launched the EC210, a 20-tonne class hydraulic excavator, reinforcing its commitment to the burgeoning Indian construction equipment market. This new model is specifically designed to meet the diverse needs of Indian customers, delivering superior performance, exceptional fuel efficiency, and reduced maintenance costs. The EC210 was unveiled by Kamel Sid, Global Head of Operations at Volvo CE, alongside Dimitrov Krishnan, Managing Director of Volvo CE India, and other senior leaders.

To mark the launch of the EC210, Volvo CE introduced the ‘Karo Zyada Ki Umeed’ campaign. This brand campaign reflects the aspiration for excellence and the drive to exceed expectations, emphasizing the key value propositions of the EC210: Zyada Performance, Zyada Value, Zyada Savings, and Zyada Uptime.

The EC210, a 20-tonne class crawler excavator, boasts advanced features for superior performance and versatility across various applications. It offers industry-leading safety and operator comfort, coupled with ease of servicing. The excavator’s best-in-class attachment configuration and next-generation positive control hydraulics system provide unmatched precision and faster response times. Powered by a Made in India, T3 electronic engine, the EC210 delivers high torque at low RPM, ensuring exceptional fuel efficiency with 10 working modes for different applications. It excels in light, medium, and heavy-duty tasks such as road building, rock breaking, general construction, waste management, quarries, and sand mining. Additionally, users can book services through a user-friendly mobile app, ensuring service assurance within 48 hours to maximize machine uptime.

In conjunction with the EC210 launch, Volvo CE has partnered with Shriram AutoMall (SAMIL), India’s largest ‘phygital’ marketplace for pre-owned vehicles and construction equipment. This collaboration aims to create a robust ecosystem for machine exchange and disposal, benefiting customers looking to purchase new Volvo machines by replacing their existing fleet. This initiative aligns with Volvo’s strategic ambition to promote circularity in equipment lifecycle management, supporting sustainable practices for second-life and end-of-life disposal.
