Velo3D Appoints Darren Beckett as Chief Technology Officer to Drive Innovation in Additive Manufacturing!

Velo3D, Inc. (OTC: VLDX), a leading provider of metal additive manufacturing solutions, has announced the appointment of Darren Beckett as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). With over 25 years of experience in technology leadership, innovation, and organizational transformation, Beckett will oversee the development and execution of Velo3D’s technology roadmap, advancing its leadership in 3D printing for mission-critical applications.

Beckett’s career spans decades of pioneering next-generation manufacturing technologies. He spent more than 20 years at Intel Corporation, where he held key technical and engineering leadership roles focused on 3D manufacturing and advanced technology development. Before joining Velo3D, he served as VP of Engineering at Woodruff Scientific and CTO at Sigma Additive Solutions, where he played a crucial role in advancing additive manufacturing quality control technologies.

“We are excited to have Darren join the company, as his proven track record in building and leading cutting-edge technology teams aligns perfectly with Velo3D’s mission to redefine additive manufacturing,” said Arun Jeldi, CEO of Velo3D. “His ability to blend technical expertise with strategic leadership will be instrumental in executing our new corporate vision and driving our next phase of growth.”

As CTO, Beckett will be responsible for leading Velo3D’s Research and Development and IT teams, driving innovation in advanced manufacturing technologies. His expertise will support the company’s ongoing expansion and enhance its ability to help customers rapidly scale the production of complex metal parts.

“I am thrilled to join Velo3D and contribute to its vision of enabling customers to leverage additive manufacturing for rapid, scalable production,” said Beckett. “I look forward to collaborating with the talented team here as we continue to push the boundaries of 3D printing technology.”

Founded in 2014, Velo3D revolutionized metal 3D printing by enabling engineers to manufacture highly complex designs without design constraints. The company’s Sapphire printers, first shipped in 2018, quickly gained traction, leading to the launch of the large-format Sapphire XC printer in 2021—one of its most popular products.

With Beckett at the helm of technology development, Velo3D is poised to strengthen its market leadership, deliver next-generation additive manufacturing solutions, and empower industries ranging from aerospace and energy to semiconductors and medical technology.
