Veera Vahana and Exponent Energy Revolutionize Intercity Travel with 15-Minute Rapid-Charge Electric Bus!

Veera Vahana, in partnership with energy-tech startup Exponent Energy, has unveiled the Veera Mahasamrat EV, a groundbreaking intercity electric bus that can fully charge in just 15 minutes. This 13.5-meter, two-axle electric bus is powered by Exponent’s 320 kWh battery pack, providing nearly unlimited range with rapid on-the-go charging via Exponent’s 1MW charging network.

The Veera Mahasamrat EV reduces operating costs by 30% compared to traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) buses, offering a more sustainable and cost-effective solution for fleet owners. The collaboration aims to electrify long-haul routes like the Bengaluru–Hyderabad corridor, with Exponent Energy set to install four 1MW charging stations along the highway to facilitate the transition from ICE to electric buses.

The bus’s 6,000,000 km battery guarantee and rapid charging capabilities allow operators to make stops similar to those of diesel buses, ensuring minimal downtime. With a cutting-edge battery management system and thermal management technology, the Veera Mahasamrat EV delivers consistent performance, even in extreme temperatures.

K. Srinivas Reddy, Managing Director of Veera Vahana, emphasized the importance of replicating the diesel bus experience with fast charging, while Exponent Energy’s co-founder and CEO, Arun Vinayak, expressed excitement about transforming long-haul intercity travel through this collaboration.

Together, Veera Vahana and Exponent Energy are setting new standards for electric mobility and driving innovation in the future of transportation.
