Trumpf Inc. has introduced its TruMatic 5000 manufacturing cell to the North American market, equipped with the latest SheetMaster technology for fully automated laser cutting, punching, and forming capabilities. This advanced system automates material flow, from loading to finished parts removal, enhancing production efficiency.
According to Roger Michaud, Product Manager for TruPunch and TruMatic at Trumpf, “The TruMatic 5000 showcases Trumpf’s leadership in connected manufacturing, offering unmatched automation and precision.”
The machine features a powerful 6 kW fiber laser for energy-efficient, rapid sheet metal cutting. Its punching head uses the patented Delta Drive, reducing energy consumption by 30%. With the innovative SheetMaster system, grippers equipped with sensors handle parts seamlessly, optimizing operations for smaller batch sizes.
Additionally, the SheetMaster can be linked to the STOPA storage system, automating raw material supply and part palletizing, eliminating human intervention. The system also integrates the ToolMaster, a tool changer with 90 tool cartridges, enabling automated production of high-mix, small batches.
The TruMatic 5000 is ideal for sectors like industrial kitchens, control-cabinet manufacturing, and the furniture industry, making it a versatile solution for businesses with existing or upcoming shop floor connectivity. The machine will be available in North America by spring 2025.
