TIMTOS 2025: Celebrating 30 Years of Innovation in Smart Manufacturing and Machine Tools

TAIPEI, Taiwan – TIMTOS, one of the world’s leading smart manufacturing and machine tool expos, is set to celebrate its 30th anniversary at the upcoming exhibition from March 3-8, 2025, at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Halls 1 and 2, and Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. Co-organized by TAITRA and the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI), the event will bring together over 1,000 exhibitors and feature more than 6,100 booths, solidifying its position as a globally recognized platform for cutting-edge advancements in manufacturing technology.

TIMTOS 2025 will showcase pioneering developments in digital manufacturing, automation, and artificial intelligence (AI)-driven robotics, revolutionizing industries beyond traditional machine tools. As a landmark event, TIMTOS 2025 will introduce a new Keynote Programme, which will feature global leaders from the smart manufacturing sector. The event will provide a premier platform for groundbreaking technology announcements and thought leadership discussions.

The morning Keynote session will feature distinguished speakers such as Akihiro Teramachi, Chairman and CEO of Japan’s THK Group, and Haw Chen, CEO of Taiwan’s Techman Robot, who will share their insights into the future of smart manufacturing. The afternoon Forum will bring together executives from major industry players, including Tokyo Seimitsu, Fair Friend Group (FFG), Siemens, and HIWIN, who will unveil critical competitive advantages for future manufacturing. The forum will focus on embracing AI and smart manufacturing to drive transformation in the machine tool industry.

In addition to the Keynote programme, TIMTOS 2025 will host a variety of events such as procurement meetings, ESG activities, green product competitions, and guided tours, further strengthening the manufacturing ecosystem and fostering collaboration across sectors.

The theme of TIMTOS 2025 – ‘Integrate to Innovate’ – will highlight how integration and innovation are key to unlocking new business opportunities in five major sectors: semiconductors, transportation, medical, aerospace, and green energy. The exhibition will also feature two new areas: ‘AI, Control Systems, and Smart Manufacturing’ and ‘Innovation Technology’, which will spotlight AI technology integration, smart solutions, manufacturing system integration, laser processing, circular economy concepts, and energy-saving solutions.

Accelerating Industrial Transformation

With the rapid adoption of AI in industries, TIMTOS 2025 is poised to accelerate industrial transformation through three core themes: ‘AI and Robotics’, ‘Future Smart Manufacturing’, and ‘Green Power and Sustainability’. Global tech giants like Apple and Nvidia are leading the charge in AI and robotics, and many Taiwanese exhibitors are now embedded in the supply chains of leading US robotics manufacturers, marking a new growth wave in Taiwan’s robotics sector.

The ‘Future Smart Manufacturing’ theme will focus on AI-powered smart factories, where robotics and cloud-based automation systems will take center stage. This aligns with Industry 4.0 innovations, where big data, AI, and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) will enable fully automated, unmanned factories that address labor shortages and optimize manufacturing processes.

The ‘Green Power and Sustainability’ theme will help manufacturers navigate their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals, driving the green transformation of the machine tool industry. Reducing carbon emissions and enhancing energy efficiency are key priorities, with smart manufacturing and automation playing a pivotal role in boosting productivity while achieving sustainable energy targets.

Global Participation

TAITRA has expanded its outreach for TIMTOS 2025, inviting buyers from Taiwan’s major machine tool export markets and emerging markets. Over 2,200 international buyers from 78 countries have already pre-registered, with national pavilions from machine tool giants such as Germany, the USA, and Switzerland.

TIMTOS 2025 continues to receive strong support from top domestic and international brands, including Fair Friend Group (FFG), Tongtai Group, Victor Taichung, Hiwin, You Ji, Chmer, YCM, and Taiwan Takisawa, along with global leaders like Siemens, Heidenhain, Fanuc, Mazak, and Mitsubishi, all of whom will showcase their latest smart manufacturing solutions and innovations.

As the event marks its 30th anniversary, TIMTOS 2025 stands as a crucial force driving Taiwan’s machine tool industry forward while connecting the global manufacturing community.
