Tata Boeing Aerospace Achieves Major Milestone with 300th Apache Fuselage Delivery!

Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL) has reached a significant milestone with the delivery of its 300th fuselage for the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter. Manufactured at TBAL’s state-of-the-art facility, these fuselages are supplied to global customers, including the U.S. Army and the Indian Army, reinforcing India’s growing prominence in the global aerospace and defense sector.

The Indian Air Force currently operates 22 AH-64E Apache helicopters, a fleet that plays a critical role in modern combat and tactical operations. The successful 300th fuselage delivery highlights TBAL’s commitment to strengthening India’s defense ecosystem and enhancing indigenous manufacturing capabilities.

Spanning 14,000 square meters, the TBAL facility is the exclusive global supplier of Apache fuselages. Impressively, over 90% of the components used in Apache aerostructure assemblies are sourced from India, with more than 100 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) contributing to the supply chain. The Boeing-TASL joint venture, employing over 900 engineers and technicians, integrates advanced robotics, automation, and cutting-edge aerospace technologies, ensuring world-class production standards.

Boeing remains deeply invested in India’s aerospace sector, actively collaborating with local suppliers, academic institutions, and research organizations to drive innovation. The company’s robust supply chain includes over 300 Indian companies that manufacture Apache fuselages and vertical fin structures for the 737 aircraft family.

Boeing’s annual sourcing from India exceeds $1 billion, reflecting its long-term commitment to fostering India’s aerospace growth. The company directly employs over 6,000 people in India, with an additional 13,000 working through its supply chain partners. Furthermore, through its corporate social responsibility programs, Boeing has positively impacted over 1.5 million beneficiaries nationwide, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable development and community growth.
