Taiwan Excellence (TE) unveiled a remarkable display of next-generation manufacturing tools at IMTEX 2025, the premier exhibition for machine tools and manufacturing technology in South and Southeast Asia. Featuring 13 renowned Taiwanese brands such as AXISCO, AutoGrip, CHMER, HIWIN, Honor Seiki, and more, the pavilion is a testament to Taiwan’s innovative prowess and its commitment to advancing India’s manufacturing sector.
India has emerged as the fourth-largest importer of Taiwanese machine tools, with exports from Taiwan to India increasing by an impressive 20.8% in 2024, reaching US$145.87 million. This growth underscores the strengthening trade partnership between the two nations and Taiwan’s vital role in India’s journey toward industrial transformation.
Held at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) from January 23 to 29, the TE pavilion showcases 17 groundbreaking technologies designed to enhance India’s manufacturing landscape. On the inaugural day, TE organized a high-tech product launch session titled “Crafting Excellence for a Progressive Tomorrow,” spotlighting advanced technologies from leading brands. Speaking at the event, Richard Chen, Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre in Chennai, emphasized the importance of Taiwan’s partnership with India. “India is at the forefront of global manufacturing transformation with Industry 4.0 and IoT. Taiwan is proud to contribute advanced automation and machine tools that align with the ‘Make in India’ initiative, driving innovation and sustainability.”
M.G. Balakrishna, President of the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FKCCI), lauded Taiwan’s contributions, stating, “The cutting-edge tools unveiled today will enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and sustainability for Indian manufacturers. FKCCI is eager to collaborate with Taiwan Excellence to foster innovation and industrial growth.”
As Taiwan’s machine tool industry projects significant growth with a CAGR of 6.3% from 2025 to 2030, reaching an estimated US$3,477.1 million in revenue, India remains a key partner. TE’s participation at IMTEX 2025 reaffirms its commitment to supporting India’s manufacturing ecosystem through innovation, collaboration, and a shared vision for a sustainable industrial future.
