Sterling Tools Limited has entered a strategic partnership with Zhejiang Meishuo Electric Technology Ltd. to manufacture latching relays in India. These relays are crucial for reducing power consumption and enhancing the durability of components in smart metering systems, industrial grids, and consumer products.
The collaboration, which aims to tap into the growing demand for energy-efficient technologies, is projected to generate a Rs 200 crore business by FY30. To facilitate production, a new manufacturing and assembly facility for latching relays will be established in Bengaluru, with an investment of Rs 20 crore. This initiative aligns with India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives, emphasizing local manufacturing and reducing dependence on imports.
Anish Agarwal, Director of Sterling Tools, highlighted the importance of this partnership in boosting local manufacturing capabilities to meet the rising demand for energy technologies in India. By focusing on sustainability and self-reliance, this collaboration aims to create high-value solutions to meet the needs of both industrial and consumer sectors in the country, contributing to the growth of the electrical systems and relay components industry.
