The L.S. Starrett Co., a leading manufacturer of precision tools and gages, has named Carl-Olivier Turmel as its Canadian Sales Manager for industrial products. Turmel takes over following the retirement of Jamie Feere and will oversee Starrett’s sales operations and growth strategies across Canada.
Turmel’s role involves leading the Canadian sales team, devising commercial strategies, and executing initiatives to drive Starrett’s growth in the region. His appointment reinforces Starrett’s commitment to strengthening its industrial sales presence in Canada.

Turmel brings over a decade of experience from Fastenal Company (Québec), where he held positions including National Accounts Business Sales Specialist and Solutions Sales Specialist. His deep knowledge of account management and industrial products makes him a strong fit for the role.
Turmel is a graduate of Université Laval, where he studied industrial relations. He resides in Québec City, Québec, with his family. His background and expertise will play a key role in advancing Starrett’s position in the Canadian market.
With Turmel at the helm, Starrett is poised to build on its legacy of precision and innovation in industrial sales across Canada.
