3DEO, a Los Angeles-based leader in design, engineering, and metal additive manufacturing (AM) solutions, has announced the appointment of Scott Dennis as its new chief executive officer (CEO). Dennis succeeds Matt Petros, the company’s co-founder and former CEO, as part of a strategic leadership transition. Petros will continue to play a key role as a significant shareholder in the company.
Dennis brings extensive experience to 3DEO, having co-founded and served as CEO of D&K Engineering, where he successfully led the development and manufacturing of innovative products across sectors such as printing, industrial, and life sciences. With a background in mechanical and biomedical engineering, Dennis is well-equipped to scale 3DEO’s operations and enhance its impact in the additive manufacturing industry. His experience in product realization and his proven ability to mitigate risks associated with bringing cutting-edge products to market will drive 3DEO’s continued success.
Expressing confidence in his successor, Petros said, “Under Scott’s leadership, I believe the company is well-positioned to accelerate its innovation trajectory and continue setting new industry standards.” Dennis, in turn, emphasized the company’s commitment to using additive manufacturing technologies to deliver breakthrough performance improvements in product development. He highlighted 3DEO’s expertise in Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) and its proprietary Intelligent Layering process as core drivers for revolutionizing product development and delivering value to customers.
With this leadership change, 3DEO is poised for a new phase of growth and continued innovation, ensuring it remains at the forefront of the additive manufacturing industry.
