RAS Reinhardt Maschinenbau Unveils the MiniBendCenter 2: A Game-Changer in Automated Sheet Metal Processing

At last year’s EuroBLECH in Hanover, RAS Reinhardt Maschinenbau GmbH showcased the MiniBendCenter 2, a cutting-edge, fully automated solution for the precise production of both single and series bent parts. With its innovative technology, the MiniBendCenter 2 sets new industry benchmarks in flexibility, speed, and precision.

Promoted as “the world’s most unique folding centre specifically designed for small parts,” the MiniBendCenter 2 integrates advanced robotics and a state-of-the-art software solution to deliver unparalleled flexibility and efficiency. It is optimised for 24/7 operation, with the new MiniBend-Office software and an integrated robot for fully automated loading and unloading. This makes it the ideal system for continuous production runs.

The MiniBendCenter 2 features the MiniBend-Office software, a comprehensive platform that streamlines both programming and simulation. The flexibility of the software is significantly enhanced through a partnership with Euclid, offering fully integrated control that reduces complexity, boosts efficiency, and simplifies operation.

Redefining Efficiency and Precision

The intelligent robotic system within the MiniBendCenter 2 manages both the loading and unloading of workpieces, further elevating the system’s performance. Equipped with highly precise servo-electric controls, it sets new standards for efficiency and accuracy. The system includes a vacuum suction unit with four individually controllable suction cups, making it ideal for handling parts from stacks or bulk material with ease. The finished bent parts are then stacked in a space-saving, stable manner, with seamless pallet changes taking place safely during operation. The robot’s integration into the software ensures smooth operation without requiring additional technical expertise.

The MiniBendCenter 2 can process sheets up to 600 x 600mm and a material thickness of up to 3mm in steel. Its automatic bending technology, capable of working in both directions, eliminates the need for part turning, reducing unnecessary movements and substantially cutting down processing time. Combined with automatic tool set-up, this allows the machine to run in continuous 24/7 production, including ‘ghost shifts,’ while handling both individual and series parts with ease.
