Rane Group and ZF, two automotive industry leaders, have deepened their longstanding partnership to bring advanced electric power steering (EPS) technology to India. Their joint venture, ZF Rane Automotive India Pvt Ltd, will introduce rack drive electric power steering systems, a pivotal move to address the evolving demands of India’s automotive sector.
In addition to the rack drive systems, the collaboration includes a licensing agreement for column drive EPS systems, exclusively produced by Rane Steering Systems in India. This move will enable both companies to offer a comprehensive range of innovative steering technologies, pushing the boundaries of modern automotive engineering in the region.
With over 35 years of collaboration, Rane and ZF are building on their strong foundation to bring advanced steering solutions to Indian customers. Harish Lakshman, Chairman of Rane Group, emphasized that this new phase will equip the Indian automotive industry with cutting-edge steering systems tailored to modern needs.
Theodor Kaster, Head of ZF’s Global Steering Product Line, highlighted the synergy of engineering expertise between the two companies, ensuring unparalleled services and innovation in mechatronic systems.
ZF, renowned for its leadership in mobility technology for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and industrial applications, is joining forces with Rane, one of India’s most trusted auto component manufacturers specializing in steering solutions. This partnership will not only serve the domestic market but also align with global automotive trends, ensuring competitiveness on a global scale.
As India’s automotive industry transitions towards next-generation mobility solutions, Rane and ZF’s strengthened partnership marks a milestone in bringing state-of-the-art electric power steering systems to the forefront.
