OGP Unveils SG SmartCapture Software for Automated 3D Laser Scanning Systems!

Optical Gaging Products (OGP), a leading manufacturer of optical and precision metrology systems for industrial quality control, has introduced its new SG SmartCapture Software, enhancing the functionality of its ShapeGrabber family of automated 3D laser scanning systems. The software delivers advanced features while maintaining user-friendly functionality, making metrology-class 3D scanning easier and more efficient than ever.

SG SmartCapture automates 3D scanning and STL file creation, offering full GD&T (ASME Y.14.5) and GPS (ISO 1101) evaluations. It also allows for fast scan data export in STEP file format, catering to reverse engineering applications. The software’s integration with ShapeGrabber systems facilitates comparative measurements by using a “golden” or perfect part as a benchmark, enabling easy and accurate STL to STL file comparisons.
