Nissan Begins Global Exports of Left-Hand Drive Magnite!

Nissan Motor India has commenced exports of over 10,000 units of the Left-Hand Drive (LHD) Nissan Magnite, marking a major milestone in its global expansion. The first batch of 2,900 units departed from Chennai’s Kamarajar Port (KPL – Ennore) in January 2025, destined for select LATAM markets. A second shipment of 7,100+ units is set to follow in February 2025, reaching the Middle East, North Africa, LATAM, and Asia Pacific regions, bringing total exports to over 10,000 units by month-end.

Launched in India in October 2024, the Nissan Magnite is now part of the brand’s ‘One Car, One World’ initiative. Manufactured at the Alliance JV plant in Chennai, the Magnite will be available in over 65 global markets, including key LHD regions.

Frank Torres, Divisional VP of AMIEO Region Business Transformation & President of Nissan India Operations, hailed this export achievement as a significant step for Nissan Motor India. Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to its ‘Make in India, Make for the World’ vision.

The new Nissan Magnite boasts a bold design, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, six airbags, ABS, EBD, and a 1.0L turbocharged engine with manual and CVT transmission options.

This expansion reinforces India’s growing importance as a manufacturing and export hub for Nissan. Following the recent Right-Hand Drive (RHD) Magnite exports to South Africa, which saw 2,700+ units shipped in a month, this move further cements Nissan’s global footprint. Since its worldwide debut in December 2020, over 170,000 units of the Nissan Magnite have been sold worldwide.
