NIBE Limited Expands Defense Capabilities with Advanced Missiles and Small Arms Machining Complex in Pune!

NIBE Limited, a leading innovator in defense manufacturing, has inaugurated its state-of-the-art Missiles and Small Arms Precision Machining Complex in Pune, marking a significant step in India’s self-reliance in defense production. This grand event coincided with NIBE’s Foundation Day celebrations, reinforcing the company’s commitment to national security and advanced technology development.

The newly launched facility is equipped with cutting-edge Vertical Machining Centres (VMCs) with CNC technology, featuring high-precision models like the Kairos V5 16000 and the BMV 50 and 60+ machines. These advanced systems are designed to manufacture critical components for Small Arms systems, including Light Machine Guns and Assault Rifles, as well as key parts for Missiles and Rocket Launchers. This expansion underscores NIBE’s dedication to strengthening India’s defense ecosystem by leveraging high-tech manufacturing capabilities.

The ceremonial inauguration began with the unveiling of the Raigad Gate and a traditional pooja at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Statue, paying homage to India’s great warriors. The event also featured the Bhumipujan ceremony for the Ammunition Park in Shirdi, further highlighting NIBE’s long-term vision for defense infrastructure development.

The event was graced by Maharashtra’s Chief Minister, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, along with Ministers Shri Uday Samant, Shri Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, and Shri Murlidhar Mohol. Key industry leaders such as J D Patil, Arun T Ramchandani, and senior executives from L&T also attended, showcasing the strong public-private collaboration driving India’s defense innovation.
