Monotech Systems Unveils Markforged FX10 AM Machine in India!

Monotech Systems Ltd., headquartered in Chennai, India, has launched the Markforged FX10 Additive Manufacturing (AM) machine, marking a significant advancement in India’s manufacturing and Global Capability Centres. The launch event, held in December 2024, brought together industry leaders and dignitaries from various sectors.

The Markforged FX10 features a modular build system that allows users to seamlessly switch between metal and composite build engines, offering enhanced flexibility. With a build volume of 375 mm x 300 mm x 300 mm, the FX10 produces strong, accurate tools and fixtures to boost manufacturing productivity.

Key features include:

  • Advanced optical sensors for dimensional accuracy verification.
  • Automatic calibration and material changeover capabilities.
  • Support for materials like 17-4PH and 316L stainless steels.

Gaurav Sarda, Regional Head – ECR, Emerging Corporate Group at HDFC Bank, described the FX10’s launch as a milestone for India’s manufacturing landscape, emphasizing Monotech’s commitment to innovation through its R&D facility in Ambattur, Chennai.

Prashant Sinha, Country Manager for Markforged India, highlighted the machine’s capabilities and its successful applications across industries such as aerospace, marine, energy, and research laboratories.

Richard Elving, VP of Sales for APAC at Markforged, underscored India’s emergence as a leading manufacturing hub. “India is at the forefront of manufacturing as the world looks at alternative hubs,” he stated.

Tej Prakash Jain, Managing Director of Monotech Systems, reflected on the company’s growth since its inception in 1999, evolving from a six-person team to a 600-strong workforce. He called the FX10’s launch a pivotal step in India’s manufacturing evolution.

The launch event also spotlighted the collaborative synergy between Monotech Systems and Markforged, reinforcing their shared commitment to driving innovation and enhancing productivity in Indian manufacturing. The FX10’s introduction positions India as a key player in adopting next-generation AM technologies for diverse industrial applications.

This strategic launch signals India’s growing influence in the global manufacturing sector and the continued expansion of Additive Manufacturing technologies.
