In a significant move, Bourn & Koch has taken over operations and field service support for Mollart Machinery following both companies’ acquisition by InCompass in 2023. Previously based in Chessington, U.K., Mollart’s operations have now shifted to Bourn & Koch’s facility in Rockford, Illinois. This transition enables Bourn & Koch to expand its manufacturing capabilities by adding Mollart’s renowned deep-hole drilling machines to its portfolio.
Mollart’s product line includes specialized equipment such as gundrilling, BTA deep-hole drilling machines, microdrilling, and multispindle pellet die drilling. With Bourn & Koch’s experience in custom machine tool development, including the production of Blanchard grinders, gear hobbers, and gear shapers, the company is well-positioned to continue manufacturing and servicing Mollart machinery.
Bourn & Koch began the production transition early in 2024, and its field service team has already facilitated numerous Mollart machine installations across the U.S. and Europe. The shift of operations to Rockford is set to benefit Mollart’s North American customers, cutting down response times for service across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada while maintaining international support.
