Kia Unveils the All-New EV5 at the 2025 Canadian International AutoShow, Showcasing the Future of Electric SUVs!

Kia is set to make a bold statement at the 2025 Canadian International AutoShow with the debut of the highly anticipated EV5, marking a significant step forward in electrified mobility. As Canada’s SUV market continues to expand, Kia aims to redefine the segment by introducing a compact electric SUV that combines stylish design, advanced technology, and superior practicality. Attendees at the AutoShow will be among the first to see the EV5 in person, experiencing its cutting-edge features and sustainable performance capabilities before it officially goes on sale across Canadian dealerships in early 2026.

Inspired by the award-winning EV9, the Kia EV5 takes design and functionality to the next level, offering an elevated driving experience with zero emissions. This compact SUV is tailored to modern consumers looking for the versatility of an SUV while embracing the benefits of electric power, including lower operating costs, home charging convenience, and instant torque for a seamless drive. Kia’s commitment to sustainability and innovation is reflected in the EV5’s spacious interior, advanced safety features, and intuitive technology, making it an ideal choice for those seeking an eco-friendly alternative without compromising on performance.

Beyond the EV5, Kia’s presence at the AutoShow will feature an exciting lineup of new vehicles launching in 2025, including the refreshed Sportage, the redesigned EV6, and the high-performance EV9 GT. The Sportage gets a facelift with enhanced styling, digital key capabilities, and Over-the-Air (OTA) updates, ensuring seamless connectivity and an upgraded driving experience. The EV6 receives a larger battery pack for an extended electric range, catering to drivers who demand more mileage on a single charge. Meanwhile, the EV9 GT steals the spotlight with incredible acceleration, achieving 0-100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds, positioning itself as one of the most thrilling electric SUVs in the market.

Visitors to the Kia exhibit can enjoy a variety of immersive experiences, including an interactive FIFA-themed gaming zone that aligns with Kia’s global sports sponsorships, bringing excitement for the whole family. Attendees will also have the opportunity to enter a draw to win a Sportage Plug-In Hybrid, adding an extra layer of engagement to the event. For those eager to experience Kia’s electric models firsthand, test drives of the EV6 and flagship EV9 will be available on the indoor EV test track at Level 800 of the MTCC South Building.

Jason Campbell, General Manager of the Canadian International AutoShow, expressed enthusiasm for Kia’s latest unveiling, stating, “Kia continues to push the boundaries of innovation in the electric vehicle segment, and the EV5 is a perfect example of their commitment to sustainable mobility. We are excited to have them return to the show and introduce this impressive new addition to their lineup.”

With a strong commitment to electrification and sustainable automotive solutions, Kia is reinforcing its position as a leader in EV technology. The 2025 Canadian International AutoShow provides a perfect platform for the brand to showcase its cutting-edge advancements and engage with consumers who are eager to embrace the future of electric mobility.
