IMTMA to Host IMTEX 2025 from January 23 to 29 at BIEC, Bengaluru!

The Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) is gearing up for IMTEX 2025, the premier machine tool and manufacturing technology exhibition in Southeast Asia, scheduled to take place from January 23 to 29, 2025, at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) in Bengaluru. This flagship event is expected to attract over 1,000 exhibitors from more than 20 countries, showcasing cutting-edge manufacturing technology solutions.

Alongside IMTEX 2025, concurrent exhibitions such as Tooltech 2025 and Digital Manufacturing 2025 will present an extensive array of advanced solutions in CNC machining, tooling, automation, robotics, additive manufacturing, CAD/CAM, metrology, and smart manufacturing technologies. This comprehensive display aims to significantly contribute to the transformation of the Indian manufacturing sector, drawing OEMs, sourcing agents, researchers, academia, and students to explore and procure necessary innovations.

Rajendra S. Rajamane, President of IMTMA, emphasized the current trends in the machine tool industry, noting that India ranks 9th in global production and 6th in consumption, according to the World Machine Tool Survey 2023 by Gardner Intelligence. He highlighted that production for FY 2023-24 is estimated to have grown by approximately 10%, reaching ₹135.71 billion, while consumption is projected to increase by 11% to ₹272.65 billion during the same period. Rajamane stated, “Organizing IMTEX 2025 against this backdrop will showcase a new and confident India and its machine tool industry’s role in the journey toward excellence.”

With an exhibition area of around 80,000 square meters, IMTEX 2025 is set to surpass all previous editions, featuring an exciting range of technologies and solutions that provide an ideal platform for machine tool user industries. Jibak Dasgupta, Director General & CEO of IMTMA, noted that the exhibition will include ‘LIVE’ machine demonstrations, allowing visitors to witness the latest solutions and technologies firsthand. This setup will also provide both large and small exhibitors the opportunity to enhance their brand presence.

In addition to the concurrent shows, IMTEX 2025 will host several parallel events, including i2 Academia Square, a Manufacturing Quiz Contest, Jagruti, and Job Connect. The exhibition is expected to attract a significant number of industry representatives as trade delegations, along with students from engineering institutions eager to engage with the latest advancements in the machine tool sector.
