Hexagon India Unveils ENSPEC: A ‘Made in India’ Coordinate Measuring Machine for Precision Manufacturing!

Hexagon, a global leader in digital reality solutions integrating sensors, software, and autonomous technology, has introduced ENSPEC, a multidimensional coordinate measuring machine (CMM) designed and manufactured entirely in India. This is Hexagon’s first fully locally-produced metrology product, aimed at meeting the specific needs of Indian manufacturers. The ENSPEC series will be available for shipment starting in September 2024 from Hexagon’s Noida facility.

For years, Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division has supported Indian businesses with advanced metrology systems, from hand tools to automated solutions, CMMs, and optical scanners. The launch of ENSPEC marks a significant milestone for the company, supporting India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative. Anup Verma, Managing Director of Hexagon India’s Metrology Division, highlighted ENSPEC’s advanced performance and flexible configurations, making it an ideal choice for quality control and automation in manufacturing. He added that local production will enable faster service and better efficiency for Indian customers.

Sridhar Dharmarajan, Executive Vice President, noted India’s growing potential as a global manufacturing destination. He emphasized that ENSPEC is part of Hexagon’s broader strategy to support India’s manufacturing journey, especially in light of global supply chain disruptions that highlight the need for diverse sourcing.
