Equispheres Appoints Rob Acton as VP of Sales for North America to Drive Growth in Additive Manufacturing!

Equispheres, a leader in high-performance powder materials for additive manufacturing, has announced the appointment of Rob Acton as its new Vice President of Sales for North America. Acton, who brings over fifteen years of experience in providing high-performance metals to the aerospace, transportation, and energy sectors, will play a pivotal role in expanding Equispheres’ footprint in the North American market.

According to Kevin Nicholds, CEO of Equispheres, Acton’s deep expertise in serial additive production aligns perfectly with the company’s growth strategy. “Equispheres’ powders are designed for serial additive production, and nobody knows that business as well as Rob,” said Nicholds. With this strategic appointment, Acton will leverage his experience to help clients and partners in North America scale their additive manufacturing capabilities.

In his new role, Acton is tasked with driving additive parts production growth in key industries. He emphasized the potential for Equispheres’ materials to help manufacturers reduce production costs, speed up design iterations, and maintain the consistency required for high-volume, serial production applications. “There are many opportunities out there for a high-quality North American source of aluminium powders,” Acton stated. He is confident that the company’s innovative approach to additive manufacturing can deliver complex geometries and unlock new possibilities in industries that demand high precision and performance.

Acton’s extensive experience includes a successful tenure as Global Director of Strategic Partnerships at Carpenter Technology, where he was responsible for expanding the company’s additive business. He holds an MBA in Finance from Drexel University’s LeBow College of Businessand a Bachelor of Science in Business Logistics from Penn State University.
