EOS, a global leader in industrial 3D printing solutions, has achieved a significant milestone with the installation of its 5,000th industrial 3D printer. As a pioneer in both polymer and metal powder bed additive manufacturing (AM) technologies, EOS continues to play a transformative role in reshaping industries worldwide.
The 5,000th machine, an EOS M 400-4, was installed at Keselowski Advanced Manufacturing (KAM) in Statesville, North Carolina. KAM, founded by race car driver and entrepreneur Brad Keselowski, has rapidly established itself as a leader in metal industrial 3D printing. With this addition, KAM’s portfolio of EOS metal AM systems now totals 18 machines.
Recently integrated into the ADDMAN group, KAM’s contributions further strengthen ADDMAN’s AM capabilities, bringing their combined EOS machine count to 36 systems, spanning both metal and polymer technologies.
EOS AM technology has become integral to numerous sectors, including defense, space, energy, tooling, and medical applications. According to Joe Calmese, CEO of ADDMAN, “We have long relied on EOS technology to produce highly engineered and complex applications. We’re thrilled to contribute to this milestone and to witness the impact of AM across industries.”
Marie Langer, CEO of EOS, reflects on the company’s journey:
“Our organization started as a vision from my father in a field that barely existed. Today, we proudly call ourselves AM pioneers. While 5,000 machines are a remarkable milestone, it’s just the beginning. The opportunities ahead are boundless, and we are excited to achieve even greater milestones.”
Since its inception, EOS has revolutionized AM by delivering cutting-edge machines, materials, training, and services to manufacturers on six continents. This 5,000th installation underscores EOS’s commitment to enabling innovation, boosting efficiency, and driving the next industrial revolution.
As AM continues to evolve, EOS remains at the forefront, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible and transforming how industries design, manufacture, and innovate.
