Bosch and Pirelli Join Forces to Develop Cutting-Edge In-Tyre Sensor Technology!

Bosch and Pirelli have entered a strategic partnership to develop advanced in-tyre sensor technology aimed at improving vehicle safety, comfort, and performance. The collaboration will focus on creating innovative software and driving solutions by integrating sensors directly into tyres, known as in-tyre sensors. This marks a significant step toward enhancing real-time tyre signal processing for better vehicle dynamic control.

Pirelli’s pioneering Cyber Tyre system, which collects and relays real-time tyre data to the vehicle, will be further developed with Bosch’s expertise in system-level hardware, software, and MEMS sensor technology. The combination of Pirelli’s in-tyre technology with Bosch’s advancements in tyre pressure sensors, including Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) integration, will enable vehicles to access crucial tyre data for enhanced electronic control systems.
