Boeing Announces Expansion in South Carolina!

Boeing has unveiled plans to invest $1 billion in its two campuses in North Charleston, South Carolina, to enhance operations and support its 787 Dreamliner program. This ambitious infrastructure upgrade will create 500 new jobsover the next five years, further solidifying the facility’s pivotal role in the aerospace industry.

For more than a decade, Boeing South Carolina has been the hub for manufacturing the full 787 Dreamliner range, including the 787-8, 787-9, and 787-10 models. The upcoming expansion will:

  • Enable increased production targets, with a goal of producing 10 Dreamliners per month by 2026.
  • Support future growth and demand, positioning the facility to respond to evolving market needs.

The expanded operations are set to come online by early 2027, marking a significant milestone in Boeing’s growth strategy and commitment to maintaining leadership in aerospace manufacturing.
