ANCA Announces 2024 Female Machinist Award Recipient: Stephanie Chrystal

Stephanie Chrystal, a geometric grinding specialist at Sandvik Coromant, has been honored as the recipient of the 2024 ANCA Female Machinist Award. This prestigious accolade celebrates the remarkable achievements of female machinists in the tool and cutter grinding industry, recognizing those who are not only passionate about their work but also dedicated to advancing the field through excellence and innovation.

Chrystal’s career in the industry has been defined by her exceptional problem-solving abilities and her commitment to empowering her team. She has played a pivotal role in introducing solid round tools at Sandvik Coromant’s Westminster facility in South Carolina. Since joining the company through its acquisition of Precorp, Chrystal has been instrumental in building and training a highly skilled workforce, increasing the number of trained operators from three in 2022 to nine in 2024. Under her leadership, the team has consistently exceeded production expectations and set new production records month after month.

The ANCA Female Machinist Award is evaluated by a panel of experienced professionals who assess candidates based on their problem-solving skills, tool design capabilities, and critical thinking abilities. Chrystal’s significant contributions to overcoming production challenges and her dedication to team development embody the excellence that this award aims to recognize.
