Aequs is set to broaden its aerospace footprint with the launch of a new Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility in partnership with Magellan Aerospace Corporation. Initially focusing on turboprop engines, the facility will enhance India’s aerospace ecosystem while reinforcing Aequs’ vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities.
To fuel this expansion, Aequs plans to add 1,000 new hires by March 2026, bringing its workforce to 5,000 employees. With a $120 million annual revenue, Aequs serves major aerospace clients like Airbus, Boeing, Collins, and Safran while diversifying into precision consumer electronics.
Operating within India’s first precision engineering SEZ in Belagavi, Karnataka, Aequs offers an end-to-end manufacturing value stream, covering forging, machining, surface treatment, and aero assemblies. The company aims to boost aerospace revenue to $500 million within five years, while also exploring smart ring manufacturing in the consumer electronics sector.
Through strategic joint ventures, including API with Magellan Aerospace for chemical processing and SQuAD Forge with Aubert & Duval for high-performance forgings, Aequs is strengthening its global partnerships and reinforcing its precision manufacturing leadership.
