ABB Robotics Partners with Molg to Create Robotic Microfactories for Tackling E-Waste!
ABB Robotics has announced a collaboration with U.S. start-up Molg to develop robotic microfactories aimed at…
In an exciting partnership, ABB has teamed up with Energy Control Technologies (ECT) to create a cutting-edge turbomachinery control solution. The collaboration aims to integrate Compressor Controls within ABB’s Ability™ System 800xA® distributed control system (DCS), streamlining operations across industries such as hydrogen, biofuels, power generation, and oil and gas.
This joint venture will lead to the development of Integrated Compressor Controls (ICC) with Integrated Control Safety Systems (ICSS), significantly reducing complexity and CAPEX by up to 20% for integrated projects. By centralizing controls into one platform, operators can now monitor turbines, compressors, and pumps more efficiently, leading to improved energy efficiency, cost savings, and enhanced machine protection.
This system simplifies traditional multi-supplier models by eliminating the need for separate operator workstations. The collaboration leverages ABB’s hardware and global support, combined with ECT’s control algorithms, offering a comprehensive, unified approach to turbomachinery control.
ABB’s Per Erik Holsten describes the partnership as a “breakthrough,” with strong interest already emerging from U.S. industries.
