Pilz is expanding its online safety training

Pilz is expanding its global digital training programme for machine safety. Pilz’s standardised training sessions can now be attended live online thanks to the new “International Training Calendar.” The training is also provided in areas where Pilz does not have a subsidiary. Pilz intends to make it easier for users to access information sharing and to give them more options for additional training in critical areas of machinery safety. Pilz Academy has been offering international machinery safety expertise. Pilz subsidiaries also provide appropriate local training that takes into consideration national regulations and market requirements.

The new internationally standardised training courses in the “International Training Calendar” complement Pilz’s existing online training offering by recreating existing in-plant training courses as online seminars, all with the same consistent high quality. Pilz experts may meet with machine manufacturers and operators wherever they are. Companies who want to teach staff at different locations throughout the world to the same level of machinery safety benefit as well.

The seminars in the “International Training Calendar” are arranged into four levels, from introductory to expert certification, by the Pilz Academy’s qualifying route. They cover machinery safety concepts and a specialised technical understanding of the essential safety needs. The training courses are continuously updated to reflect any changes to national or international machinery safety standards and guidelines. The “International Training Calendar” also includes important application knowledge for functional safety in compliance with the new EN ISO 13849-1 and EN IEC 62061 standards. The instruction is given in English. Pilz claims that the seminar programme is constantly expanding to incorporate new training courses.
