Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas Starts Construction on New Electric Facility

Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas broke ground on its new manufacturing site in Houston, Texas. The cutting-edge facility will enhance production capacity to meet the growing demand for electric lift vehicles and warehouse items. The new plant, which will be located on Logisnext’s Houston headquarters property, will support the manufacturing of essential electric warehouse goods across the Jungheinrich, Cat lift trucks, Mitsubishi forklift trucks, and UniCarriers Forklift product lines. The new plant is an important component of Logisnext’s long-term electric expansion strategy to assist its clients across North America. The new facility, which has a total floor area of 73,000 square feet, will improve Logisnext’s present electric manufacturing capabilities by serving as a specialised fabrication space for in-house welding and painting of masts and frames. In addition, technologies such as Mixed Model Line Design, Industry 4.0 process monitoring, and one-piece flow will be implemented at the facility. Logisnext’s continuous focus on efficiency will be aided by the growth of robotic welding, as well as the optimisation of paint capacity and weld fixtures.
