Mills appoints two existing members of staff to key director positions.

Mills CNC, the exclusive distributor of DN Solutions’ and Zayer machine tools in the UK and Ireland, has announced that it has significantly strengthened its management team through the promotion of two existing members of staff to director positions, with both appointments becoming effective from 1st August 2024.

Richard Wilson, current Business Manager for the West Midlands, Wiltshire and Home Counties region, has now become Mills’ new Sales Director.

This company-wide role will see Richard assume responsibility for the strategic planning, co-ordination and implementation of Mills’ extensive sales operations within the UK.

His specific duties will include providing support and assistance to the company’s regionally-based business managers, taking the lead with many of Mills’ key customer accounts, and rationalising, integrating and improving Mills’ sales systems and processes.

Says Tony Dale. Mills CNC’s CEO:

“Richard has been with Mills for four years and in that time has become an invaluable member of our sales team. He has significantly grown sales within his geographical region over this time, and his knowledge of the market combined with his drive, approach and persistence have all contributed to Mills’ excellent growth in recent years.

“Richard is a consummate sales professional, and I am confident that he will excel in his new position.”

Richard will continue to cover all sales activities in the West Midlands, Wiltshire and Home Counties business region until a suitable replacement is found.

The second appointment sees Craig Clarke, Mills’ existing Operations Manager, promoted to Operations Director.

Having joined Mills 13-years ago as Service Co-ordinator, Craig’s rise over this time has been nothing short of meteoric and has seen him first being promoted to Service Manager, and more recently, to Operations Manager.

Having obtained a degree in Business Management whilst working at Mills, Craig has been more than instrumental in developing and building Mills operations’ infrastructure, ensuring that the company’s after-sales services and support remain the ‘best in the business.’

Continues Tony Dale:

“We live and die by the performance of our service operations and with Craig at the wheel I am confident that we will continue to deliver, and improve on, the first-class support to customers that we are renowned for.”
