MACH 2024 Success with CNC Lathe Machine Impressing Spectators

Ward CNC returned to MACH with a bang with double the presence this year, and what a success it was. Highlights include many visitors enjoying the incredible display put on by our valued partner Vargus UK Ltd, who showcased our HYUNDAI WIA Machine Tool HD3100YA Y-Axis CNC lathe machine, and a visit from some of our valued principals including Soraluce, Gurutzpe and Takisawa – Japan.

The Birmingham NEC was a buzz with some incredible displays of machine tool excellence. The Ward CNC team were delighted to discuss our wide range of CNC machine tool and metalworking solutions with both new and returning customers from all across the UK .

Y- Axis CNC Lathe Demonstration at MACH

Our fantastic applications team showcased the impressive specs of one of our Hyundai-Wia CNC lathe machines, running live demonstrations throughout the week at the Vargus stand. We were even treated to a visit from MTD CNC with Regional Sales Manager, Wayne Beadle, discussing the collaboration and Ward CNC’s machine tool supply & service offering with Lyndsey Vickers . HYUNDAI WIA Machine Tool HD3100YA Y-Axis CNC lathe machine

This machine offers impressive specs and features that were demonstrated at MACH 2024:

• Hardened & ground box guideways + one-piece heavy-duty cast-iron bed construction for high accuracy & rigidity
•  BMT65P turret, Y-axis, C-axis & driven tooling and 10″ chuck
• Max. turning length of 760mm
• Swing over the bed of 800mm
• 12 station ATC
• A2-8 spindle nose offers 3,500 RPM, plus 5,000 RPM live tooling speed
• FANUC 0IT 15” monitor CNC

During the demonstration, visitors witnessed the advanced capabilities of this incredible machine. An exemplary display of precision and versatility, the HD3100YA impressed spectators. Utilising the high-quality range of Vargus’ cutting tools, the demonstration showcased a vast array of machining techniques, including waved form grooving, Y-axis milling, and C-axis Polar milling, all performed with impressive efficiency and accuracy.
