Kyocera Launches MA90 Milling Series for Enhanced Chip Evacuation

Kyocera Precision Tools has introduced its new MA90 Milling Series, designed to optimize chip evacuation, enhance tool life, and improve overall machining performance. The MA90 series features 4-edge tangentially mounted inserts, which provide superior body rigidity, greater chatter resistance, and impeccable surface finishes.

Key Features:

  1. Tangential Insert Design: The MA90’s unique design ensures that cutting forces are directed into the insert pocket corner, enhancing rigidity and stability. This design also allows for more teeth per diameter, which improves chip evacuation and reduces the likelihood of chip packing.
  2. Multi-Functional Capabilities: The MA90 series supports various operations such as facing, shouldering, slotting, ramping, helical milling, pocketing, contouring, and plunging. This versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of machining applications.
  3. Economical Inserts: The 4-edge inserts are easily replaceable and designed to provide high-quality surface finishes with large axial rake and included wiper edges, ensuring excellent wall accuracy and precise peripheral grinding specifications.

The introduction of the MA90 series is part of Kyocera’s commitment to providing innovative solutions that enhance productivity and reduce operational costs. These tools are available in a variety of inch and metric end mill, face mill, and modular head sizes, catering to different machining needs.
