Six Of The Best
With 75% of its turning centres bought from Dugard Machine Tools, it is safe to say…
At the recent MACH exhibition, Dugard Machine Tools presented a raft of new machines that included everything from fast precise sliding head turning centres to industry-leading 5-axis machining centres. The result was several orders across brands, six Hanwha sales and a huge intake of enquiries from potential new customers.
With one of the most diverse portfolios of machine tools in the UK, Dugard presented the Kitamura Mytrunnion 4G 5-axis powerhouse alongside three Hanwha sliding head turning centres. Alongside these machines was a SMEC 2500BSY turning centre. The Brighton-based machine tool specialist also used the event to discuss the newly introduced Mylas brand and in particular the DT52 twin spindle twin turret multi-tasking turning centre as well as the new Kenyou high-end brand of vertical turning, boring and turn/mill centres.
Since becoming the UK partner for Hanwha sliding head turning centres, the portfolio has been a remarkable success. Therefore, the brand took prominence at MACH with the XD10, XD20 III and the XDI 32 all wowing the crowds at MACH. This buzz of excitement was amplified by the Kitamura and SMEC machines on the stand and the new Mylas and Kenyou machines that will imminently land in the UK.
Commenting upon Dugard’s participation at MACH, Sales Director Colin Thompson said: “Once again, Dugard presented the most dynamic and diverse portfolio of machines at MACH and this proved a huge success. The Kitamura, SMEC and Hanwha brands stand as the industry benchmarks in their respective niches for build quality, innovation, capability, productivity and overall performance – this was evident by the number of orders we received at MACH and the incredibly high number and quality of leads. The show also proved the perfect platform for us to introduce our new Mylas and Kenyou brands which will extend our portfolio into the realms of larger multi-axis, flexible machine tool solutions. As well as the record number of machine sales and enquiries, and the introduction of new brands, the show also enabled our new area sales managers to introduce themselves to the marketplace. Overall, we are once again delighted with the MACH show.”
