Vollmer Keeps It Clean With New VFS 400 Filtration Technology
At the GrindingHub 2024 exhibition, Swabian sharpening specialist VOLLMER launched its new VOLLMER Filtration System 400…
Eric Hulen of MTDCNC interviews Jurgen Hauger of VOLLMER who explains some fascinating new technology and solutions for customers at IMTS. Jurgen talks about ultrasonic deburring, a process they’ve introduced with VOLLMER’s acquisition of UltraTEC Innovation, the only company that has this technology. A brand-new process in the market, ultrasonic deburring involves an ultrasonic generator that generates a movement of 6 microns. With the help of different mechanical boosting systems, the 6 microns are boosted up to 120 microns with a frequency of 20kHz. The forces generated can immediately bend the burr and break it down. A fast and easy process, ultrasonic deburring can be used for almost every kind of mechanical or plastic part. The process uses 20 times less energy and there’s no need for chemicals. Jurgen demonstrates how the technology works for a hydraulic valve, a perfect example of the ultrasonic deburring process. Find out more from Jurgen about the fast and economic system for 100% deburring of parts and how you can take advantage of this completely automated and validated process to reduce cycle times.
