Tony Gunn from MTDCNC North America is at the Methods Machine Tools facility in Acton Massachusetts where we get a closer look at their Precision Centre. Frank Vermes from Methods talks about this one-of-a-kind center in North America designed for high precision accurate machines. With partners like Yasda and Haimer, the Precision Center helps customers achieve tight tolerances that are important for industries such as medical and aerospace. A team of experienced engineers offers R&D for builders, including testing machines that are meant to give tolerances of 2 microns. Haimer’s precision toolholders used with Yasda machines offer the quality that Methods Machine Tools wants to deliver for customers. The holders have a dampening feature to limit any vibrations that could affect the part finish.
