Colin from MTDCNC and Phillip Anthony from DP Engineering UK are in Redruth to discuss improved capacity and repeatability with lathes and new technology from Citizen Machinery UK. DP Engineering have had a great experience with their old L20 sliding head lathe and chose to invest in a second L20 that features the latest LFV technology. Their most recent acquisition includes the M32-VIII that has been a game changer for the company, offering speed, accuracy, and a better setup for unmanned running. Citizen’s LFV technology allows for extended tool life, easier swarf and chip control and can be used on materials that are harder to cut. The technology jump has helped DP Engineering achieve great gains in capacity and repeatability while staying ahead of the competition!
