Additive and subtractive manufacturing on show at MACH from HK Technologies
In this short interview Gareth Jones of HK talks Joe Reynolds through all of the products…
The Mitsubishi MV2400R EDM machine is now available to UK customers from HK Technologies. This impressive machine is the next model up from the ‘S’ line and it incorporates a tubular drive system with magnetic propulsion and a fully enclosed four sided table.
From an advantage perspective, the tubular drive in the U & V axis gives an astounding resolution and precision that is backed by glass scales. This level of precision is ideal for mould makers that demand the utmost in precision for producing sliders and ‘up and aways’. The software on the CNC control conducts all the complex calculations such as where the wire bow is taking place and the pivot point.
The control system makes part processing simple. The machine has two USB ports and an Ethernet connection for program transfer, so customers can drag and drop from a pc. Parasolid 3D files can be imported to view the cuts prior to machining.
The MV2400R EDM machine is constructed with a single piece casting that gives the operator an ability to spread the load of large parts over the 600 by 400mm table. For more details contact Mitsubishi…
