Adani Group Launches India’s Largest Skill Development Initiative to Propel ‘Make in India’!

The Adani Group has partnered with ITE Education Services (ITEES) from Singapore to launch India’s largest skill development program, aimed at building a globally competitive workforce for industries such as Green Energy, Manufacturing, Hi-tech, Project Excellence, and Industrial Design. This initiative, called the Skill and Employ program, has received a significant commitment of over INR 2,000 crore from the Adani family to establish the Adani Global Skills Academy, a network of finishing schools designed to provide industry-ready training.

Each academy will select students from technical and vocational backgrounds, equipping them with internationally recognized skills. Graduates will be certified and offered employment opportunities within the Adani Group or placed within other industries, ensuring that they are ready to enter the workforce from day one.

The first phase of the initiative includes the establishment of the world’s largest technical finishing school in Mundra, Gujarat, with a goal to train over 25,000 students annually. The program will focus on graduates and diploma holders from ITIs and Polytechnics, who will undergo intensive, real-world application-focused boot camps.

The Adani Global Skills Academy will be a hub for advanced technical education, featuring innovation centers and AI-driven simulators to provide an immersive, hands-on learning experience. The academy will also offer fully residential facilities for both students and faculty, ensuring a seamless and optimal academic experience.

To maintain global education standards, the Adani Group has teamed up with ITEES Singapore, a leader in career-oriented technical training and skills certification. This collaboration will bring world-class expertise, ensuring students receive the best industry-aligned education and internationally recognized certification.

Under this partnership, ITEES Singapore will provide academic quality assurance, establish certification-based learning pathways, and offer expert faculty and an industry-relevant curriculum. The goal is to equip students with skills that are recognized worldwide, enhancing their prospects in a rapidly evolving global job market.

Robin Bhowmik, CEO of Adani Skills & Education, highlighted the program’s alignment with the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Viksit Bharat’ initiatives, saying, “This partnership will build world-class technical talent and embed application-driven learning to support industries across sectors.” Suresh Natarajan, CEO of ITEES Singapore, added, “We are excited to collaborate with Adani to enhance skill development, create lasting impact, and transform education and lives.”

This ambitious initiative is set to revolutionize India’s technical education landscape, producing a skilled workforce ready to support and drive the country’s industrial growth in the coming years.
