DMG MORI marked the 30th anniversary of its Open House event in Pfronten, cementing the tradition as a key industry gathering. The event kicked off with a focus on Machining Transformation (MX), highlighting the latest innovations and manufacturing solutions. Irene Bader, Member of the Board at DMG MORI, expressed excitement for the year ahead, stating, “I look forward to engaging discussions and personal meetings with our customers, partners, and visitors from all over the world.”
Five world premieres were unveiled during the event, showcasing DMG MORI’s cutting-edge advancements in precision machining. Among the highlights were the DMU 60 eVo 2nd generation and DMX 60 U, both representing innovative solutions in milling that support integrated processes for machining complex workpieces. The ULTRASONIC 20 linear 3rd generation was also introduced, marking a revolutionary step in ultrasonic-assisted milling and grinding, designed to handle advanced materials with unparalleled precision.
The CTX 750|1250 model made its debut as well, demonstrating top performance in 6-sided complete machining, blending precision and energy efficiency for demanding applications. Visitors also witnessed live demonstrations of high-end machining center assemblies, including the DMU 600 P and DMC 340 FD µPrecision, at Europe’s largest DMG MORI factory.

The DMG MORI Open House event underscored the company’s commitment to enabling sustainable, quality-oriented production. With extensive expertise in sectors like aerospace, die and mold, semiconductor, and mechanical engineering, DMG MORI continues to innovate through its Machining Transformation (MX) model. The integration of machining steps such as milling, turning, and grinding, showcased in machines like the DMC 125 FDS duoBLOCK and CTX gamma 2000 TC, helps improve process efficiency.
Automation solutions were also on display, including the Robo2Go Max, which demonstrated how automation increases machine availability and production capacities. The CELOS X widgets were highlighted as part of the Digital Transformation (DX) strategy, supporting technology cycles with more efficient planning and simulation of production processes.

DMG MORI’s Green Transformation (GX) initiatives emphasize sustainable production by reducing energy consumption. The PH Cell series for pallet handling and the e-PALLET system, which integrates smart clamping devices and intelligent software, further exemplified the company’s focus on sustainability and flexibility in production processes.

A standout innovation at the event, the DMU 60 eVo 2nd generation, sets new standards in 5-axis universal machining. The ULTRASONIC 20 linear 3rd generation marked another breakthrough, enhancing ultrasonic-supported milling and optional grinding of materials like glass, ceramics, and composites for the semiconductor industry. With its groundbreaking precision of 2 µm in linear axes and 2″ in rotary swivel axes, this machine redefines machining accuracy and performance.
