OSG Expands End Mill Lineup to Enhance Performance Across Applications!

OSG USA Inc. has expanded its portfolio of end mills with new offerings in the ExoCarb WXL-CR-EDS, A Brand AE-HFE-H, A Brand AE-TS-N, and Phoenix series. These advanced tools are engineered to deliver superior performance across a wide range of applications, from hardened steels to non-ferrous materials, addressing the diverse needs of modern machining operations.

The ExoCarb WXL-CR-EDS series is a high-performance carbide end mill tailored for pre-hardened and hardened steels. With the addition of inch-size offerings, this lineup now caters to an even broader range of applications. Key features include ultra-fine micro-grain carbide for maximum wear resistance, high-precision geometry to eliminate rework, and a rigid core design for enhanced strength. Its WXL coating ensures oxidation resistance up to 1100°C and a hardness of 3100 Hv, making it an excellent choice for demanding machining environments.

The A Brand AE-HFE-H series is specifically designed for machining high-hardness steels with advanced performance features. This lineup incorporates a composite radius shape for optimized flat surface machining, a double-stage gash design to balance cutting-edge strength with efficient chip evacuation, and a variable index to suppress chatter. These enhancements ensure smoother and more precise machining, even in challenging conditions.

For non-ferrous materials, the A Brand AE-TS-N series introduces a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating for superior durability and surface accuracy. Its center-cutting design is ideal for plunging, while the large core and new flute form improve rigidity and chip evacuation. The specialized cutting edge delivers high durability and excellent surface finishes, making it perfect for high-speed operations and intricate machining tasks.

The Phoenix series has been expanded with the Phoenix PXAL, a DLC-coated, exchangeable-head end mill designed for non-ferrous materials. This series features a flat cutting edge for precision surface quality, a center cutting edge for plunging, and DLC-IGUSS coating for wear resistance and extended tool life. The lineup includes square, radius, and reduced-shank types, providing flexibility for a variety of machining requirements.
