Hindalco Industries Joins International Copper Association to Drive Sustainable Growth!

Hindalco Industries Ltd, the flagship metals company of the Aditya Birla Group, announced its membership with the International Copper Association (ICA), a global organization representing key players in the copper industry. This strategic move underscores Hindalco’s commitment to advancing sustainable practices and strengthening the global copper value chain.

Established in 1958, Hindalco is a leading producer of copper and aluminum, supplying high-quality copper cathodes and continuous cast copper rods to both domestic and international markets. Rohit Pathak, CEO of Hindalco’s Copper Business, expressed his enthusiasm for the new membership, stating, “Joining ICA allows us to collaborate on strengthening the copper value chain, a vital component in the world’s transition to net zero.” He further emphasized that India is poised to become a prominent market for copper and related products in the coming years, highlighting the country’s growing demand and strategic importance in the global copper landscape.

Juan Ignacio Díaz, President of the International Copper Association, welcomed Hindalco into the ICA community, acknowledging the company’s pivotal role as a major global industry player. “We are delighted to welcome Hindalco to the ICA family. The ICA, a not-for-profit organization headquartered in Washington, D.C., represents 33 members across six continents, operating in key regions including the US, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
