Vertiv Expands North American Manufacturing with New Plant in South Carolina!

Vertiv has announced plans to build a new manufacturing plant in Pelzer, South Carolina, as part of its ongoing expansion of North American operations. The new facility will add 215,000 square feet (approximately 20,000 square meters) of production space and is expected to bring up to 300 new skilled employment opportunities to the area.

The Pelzer facility will focus on utilizing Vertiv’s advanced portfolio of power, cooling, and IT infrastructure technologies for data centers. It will develop a range of integrated systems, including modular power systems and integrated modular solutions, which reduce both the time to market and labor demands for data center projects. These prefabricated and pre-engineered systems are fully factory-tested, offering customers scalable and reliable solutions to grow their businesses efficiently.

According to Vertiv CEO Giordano (Gio) Albertazzi, increasing production capacity is vital to meeting growing consumer demands. The Pelzer operations are integral to supporting Vertiv’s goals in both the Americas and worldwide.

In addition to the new Pelzer site, Vertiv operates a switchgear and busbar manufacturing facility in Anderson, South Carolina. Vertiv continues to expand its infrastructure solutions through footprint development and increased capacity across key locations in the U.S., Mexico, Slovakia, the UAE, Ireland, and Northern Ireland.
